U.S. Army ITA-Ops Contract, Arlington, VAFebruary 2009 – October 2014

RCDD for General Dynamics on the ITA Service Design Team

·               Lead RCDD and Portfolio Manager to a team of RCDDs and network/technical professionals responsible for designing and estimating service requests from Government Customers in the Pentagon and the National Capital Region (NCR).

·               Assigned service requests to team members, tracked status of estimates, projects and installation plans, reported to Senior Management in General Dynamics.

·               Collaborated with project managers and Senior Leadership on process improvement, documentation revisions, and program management plans.

·               Re-designed existing MAN/WAN TR and successfully relocated the live Pentagon MAN Node in Crystal City, which supports some 3,000+ government users.

·               Designed new TRs and fiber backbone infrastructure for nine buildings at Ft. Belvoir for HQDA OAA tenants being relocated due to BRAC 132.

·               Responsible for managing all DE projects, including service orders. 

·               Managed a team of telecommunications installers, primarily inside plant work, including voice/data/video.  Some estimating performed.

 

 

Acro Services, Inc., Livonia, MIJune 2007 – August 2008

Design Engineer

·               Contract assignment to AT&T West Construction and Engineering in Alhambra, CA, as a Design Engineer for Project Lightspeed.

·               Reviewed existing copper plant to identify and condition specific pairs to carry the new AT&T U-Verse product to residential and commercial customers.

·               Responsible for quality reviewing other engineer’s work.

 

 

The Telephone Man, Inc., Avondale, PAApril 2006 – November 2006

Project Manager/Estimator

·               Responsible for providing leadership, overall day-to-day direction, organization, coordination, communication, and ownership of all client projects. 

·               Served as the liaison between the client and The Telephone Man (TTM) employees, Operations Manager, and the President. 

·               Oversaw project budgets to ensure bid specifications were met.

·               Managed the communications installation of the Red Clay Consolidated School District’s Major Capital Improvement Plan, consisting of twenty-two schools and a new administration building.

·               Facilitated the design and installation of communications cabling for the Cecil County Public School District’s Renovation Project.  

 

 

MBNA TECHNOLOGY, INC., Newark, DEJanuary 1993 – April 2006

Senior Voice Engineer/Project Manager

·               Responsible for new construction and retro-fit projects for four campuses, which housed 7500 people.

·               Responsible for Requests for Proposals (RFP's), managed multi-million dollar budgets, and hired installation contractors.

·               Served as the telecommunications liaison for individual business areas for major moves/adds/changes.

·               Designed all copper and fiber requirements, including OSP, a new Equipment Room (ER), and a new Telecommunications Room (TR) for the construction of a two-story building to hold two separate business areas totaling over 1000 work outlets.

·               Managed the removal of out-dated copper cabling, installed new Category 6 (CAT6) cabling, constructed a new TR, installed new 50/125 micron armored optical fiber (OF), and new copper backbone to support equipment and station upgrade for the credit card production department, a 24X7 operation. Two-year project completed successfully without service interruption.

·               Undertook the project management role for the installation of two new SONET rings. Nortel and Verizon equipment installed at five different campuses, along with additional single-mode, multi-mode, and OSP optical fiber at all locations.

·               Assisted the Facility Department in the relocation of the mail center from one campus to another after 9/11. A new TR was constructed, new voice/data cabling installed to support over 100 work outlets, and a new overhead paging system was added.

·               Collaborated with other telecommunications project managers in the relocation of a 350 person call unit from one campus to another with no service interruption.

·               99% of projects completed on time and under budget.
