telecommunications liaison for individual business areas for major

Designed all
copper and fiber requirements, including OSP, a new Equipment Room (ER), and
a new Telecommunications Room (TR) for the construction of a two-story
building to hold two separate business areas totaling over 1000 work outlets. ·
Managed the
removal of out-dated copper cabling, installed new Category 6 (CAT6) cabling,
constructed a new TR, installed new 50/125 micron armored optical fiber (OF),
and new copper backbone to support equipment and station upgrade for the
credit card production department, a 24X7 operation. Two-year project
completed successfully without service interruption. ·
Undertook the
project management role for the installation of two new SONET rings. Nortel
and Verizon equipment installed at five different campuses, along with
additional single-mode, multi-mode, and OSP optical fiber at all locations. ·
Assisted the
Facility Department in the relocation of the mail center from one campus to
another after 9/11. A new TR was constructed, new voice/data cabling
installed to support over 100 work outlets, and a new overhead paging system
was added. ·
Collaborated
with other telecommunications project managers in the relocation of a 350
person call unit from one campus to another with no service interruption. ·
